Fidelity

Fidelity, the most prolific maker of chess computers in the 1970s and 1980s, released some models which sold in hundreds of thousands. They also sold small numbers of extremely expensive models and a few special edition releases which are also rare today. Some other models quickly became obsolete or superceded and therefore comparatively few were sold.

Altogether there might be thirty or so Fidelity models that could be regarded as rare today. Some of them extremely rare such as the Elite Avant Garde V.10 a model which sold for £5,999 in 1990. The price of a family saloon car at the time.
